I started this book back in June and puttered my way through it at a nice slow pace. There are those books I pick up, cannot put down and zip right through them, but this was not one of them. This is one of those books that I found nice to take slowly, just a chapter at a time, reflect on what was presented and then move on whenever I felt ready. I just left it sitting on my kitchen table and periodically read it when I was in the writing mindset. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys writing. And though some of his anecdotes did not click with me, there is a LOT of inspiring and helpful information in this book. At the end of each chapter there is a “write fearlessly” exercise, one you could chose to write out or simply ponder and reflect, as I often did. I am glad that I purchased a paperback copy as I highlighted key points throughout and look forward to going back to this book for inspiration from time to time.
