This novel in verse tackles the difficult subject of fifteen-year-old Ivy’s eating disorder. Ivy’s world has a lot of variables, one being the changes she experiences in her body. She’s growing taller and curver, much against her wishes. Ivy finally feels as if she has some control when she makes the decision to alter the way she eats and reacts to food. Things soon quickly spiral out of control and it takes both some missed opportunities and a serious health scare for Ivy to reclaim a healthy approach to her eating habits. I like and agree with the description on the jacket flap, “beautifully raw”.
