Impeachment: A Citizen’s Guide by Cass R. Sunstein

I am not a big fan of quickie paperbacks that seek to take advantage of a political or newsworthy event within the first three months of its happening, and this book — unfortunately — is no exception. I don’t think my own shifting perceptions as to the correct response to the current administration affects that judgment. Even when I began reading this book at the beginning of the year, I thought it was poorly-written, facilely-researched and lacking in perspective: in other words, a quickie paperback. There may be a reckoning to come — I personally hope there is — but this book does not provide a coherent or considerate blueprint.
