The Wife Between Us by Sarah Pekkanen

Two women have been in love with the same man, and the combination of jealously, respect, concern, and devilish intentions they show towards each other form the narrative of this book. Saying much more than that might threaten some of the surprises and twists the book takes. Indeed, if I have a criticism of this page-turning thriller, it is that the book many be *too* tight: everything is so intricately plotted and self-referential – and had to be so from the first page to the last – that the characters sometimes have a hard time taking an independent breath on their own. Still, it’s a good summer read.
